You Want to Improve Your English, Don't You?

Pict from here

Sometimes we feel like we want to talk fluently in English just like a native speaker. Or, we want to understand some films without reading the subtitles. Or maybe we want to be able to directly read novels or books written in English. Of course we want to be able to do those things above, don't we? Here are some light tips from me to improve your English ability, check it out:

SONGS
Do you like listening to the songs of western singers or bands? Of course we know some famous singers with their great songs like Mariah Carrey, Taylor Swift, Owl City, Alicia Keys and so many more. When you like their songs, you will try to find the lyrics. You'll be able to sing them, and it will be fun. And in progress of being able to sing, whether you realize or not, your English ability is also increasing, you can improve your vocabulary at the same time you improve your pronunciation ability. You can learn and have fun with music at the same time, can't you?

GAME
Do you like playing games? What kinds of game do you like to play; racing, fighting, puzzle or maybe strategy? In every game there are always some provided tutorials, aren't there? What will you do with the game if you don't even understand how to play it? That's why there are always clues or tutorials available. If you are addicted to the game, you'll absolutely make some effort to know how to play the game, how to trick it, or how to cheat it and you'll read the tutorials. Tutorials or clues of the game that are written in English will also improve your vocabulary.

SOCIAL-NETWORKING
I do believe that almost all of you have at least one social-networking account. Yes, it's like Facebook, Skype, Twitter, Plurk, Friendster, Blue Pulse, Heello or Google+ that are popular in this era. You can find people connected around the world. You can even befriend them. You can communicate with far away people such as Australian, American, European, Asians and Africans. Try having conversation with them! You can share about what is special from your country with them, or you can ask them about their country. Don't be afraid or ashamed because you're lack of vocabulary or grammar, you can just ask Google Translate for anything you want to say. As you talk to them and keep browsing those words you don't understand, and when you're familiar with those words, doesn't it mean that your vocabulary is also increasing? On the other hand, you can also get so much information from your foreign country friends. This method is really beneficial, isn't it?

READING
Reading is one of the ways to learn about anything you want to know. Do you like browsing on the Internet? Or do you like reading things on the magazines or the newspapers? Make sure you do. Try reading English magazines, or comics, or novels, or articles, or anything! There must be some words that are new to you. And you can also find the meaning on your dictionaries too, and when you just understood them, your vocabularies also become richer. Or maybe you want to read every word on your dictionaries instead? :D

NEWS
Do you like watching TV or listening news from the radio? If you don't, you better do. You can get information about what on earth is going on around the world, and you'll also get new words you never hear before. Also by listening, you'll know how some words should be spoken. Remember that you'll also know the pronunciation. So try it! Don't forget to repeat some words' pronunciation to make sure you've learned them well.

Actually, there are still so many simple methods that you can find by yourself. Find every opportunity in every single difficulty in your life, and you'll grow to be a wonderful one. Ciao! :)
